Acts a City Rising
A contemporary musical based on the book of Acts
Acts a City Rising gives biblical characters a face while telling their
incredible stories of persevering faith. Through drama, dance, and song, the story follows
an eclectic group of fishermen, Pharisees, and vagabonds who left everything to follow
Jesus of Nazareth, and He completely changed their lives.
We offer 90 minute and 2-hour versions of the script, and groups desiring a shorter version
can produce only Act 1 (60 minutes) which concludes with the conversion of Paul.
Acts requires a minimum cast of 22.

Production Details
Acts a City Rising is a "Broadway-style" musical with 22 vocal numbers.
It's recommended for high school & up and casts of 22 to 45+ (see
cast list).
We offer 90 minute and 2-hour versions. Groups desiring a shorter version can produce only
Act 1 which runs 60 minutes and concludes with the conversion of Paul.
Directors may use either version, or combine them to suit their needs. Includes up to 8 months materials rental.
A full accompaniment backing track is available with instrumental music and sound effects from the original production. This will enable groups with limited music resources to perform Acts a City Rising.
Performance Length: 60 – 120 minutes. Can be tailored to various lengths and skill levels.

It allows up to 5 performances and venues up to 400 seats. For larger venues, please

The license fee includes the following materials

Accompaniment CD/Backing Track rental: $60 (Instrumental music and sound effects from the original production – can be used for performance and rehearsal.)
Upon request we can provide individual tracks in alternate keys to match the vocal range of your cast ($8/song).
